Francois Xavier Morency focuses on equity investments, participating in both traditional markets and in businesses in the early stage of growth or at the startup stage. He is a trustee for small family trusts emphasizing conservative management of assets. Mr. Morency was previously Managing Director of Canadian Operations of Supply Service with A.P. Møller-Mærsk. He speaks several languages and has successfully managed complex international businesses in the transportation and engineering sectors.
He was essential to the company’s business development in multiple countries including the US, Canada, and Mexico and has rich connections in the oil and shipping industry. Mr. Morency cool-weather recreational activities including snowmobiling and downhill skiing. He has traveled extensively and looks forward to additional exploration throughout the world.
He is currently a shareholder for GNPNL.CA. He has successfully developed and managed complex international business—both in transportation and engineering. He holds a degree in chemical engineering from Université de Sherbrooke in 1998 with a degree in chemical engineering. He holds the WSET Level 2 certification from Wien Spirit and Education Trust as well as the Advanced Wine Certificate from International Sommelier Guild. He plays squash daily and is a member of Squash Newfoundland. Mr. Morency enjoys investing privately and in equity markets. Additionally, he is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys fishing for salmon and hunting moose.
He is the recipient of a number of awards including the Schlumberger North America Offshore Vice-President Quality Award. In addition to his rich experience in business development and management, Mr. Morency is a sommelier who holds the Advanced Wine Certificate from the International Sommelier Guild. He enjoys traveling and is an avid sportsman, fishing for salmon and hunting moose in Newfoundland.

In 2010, he moved to Newfoundland, and he has traveled extensively throughout the world—for work and pleasure.
He is a sommelier who received his WSET Level 2 certification as well as his AWC Certificate from the International sommelier Guild. His rich resume in business development, management, and investment has taken him to locations throughout North and South America. Mr. Morency believes in hands-off, yet firm, management that empowers others to leverage their strengths. He is currently a shareholder for the GNPNL.CA investment project through BHP Consulting, LTD
